In 1997 Australian readers voted three of his books into Australia's 100 most-loved books of all time.

The Magic Rainforest is the story of the magical adventure of Sam and his friend Naomi. Sam's grandfather is very ill and it is his wish to taste the magical water from a spring deep in the rainforest. This water is the purest on earth and runs from a crack between the rocks. After receiving some good advice from Sam's grandmother Sam and Naomi set off on their magical adventure. Along the way they encounter a number of magical creatures.

Do Sam and Naomi get the magical water to take back to Sam's grandfather? You'll have to read the story to find out!
