The Austrian field marshal, the diplomat, baron, the general-aide-de-camp of emperor Franz, participated in wars against revolution and Napoleon. Represented Austria on Erfurt’s meeting in 1808. In 1814, up to the sanction of destiny of Belgium and Holland, was their general-governor. Represented Austria in the rate of army of Wellington in 1815. In 1815-1825 ambassador of Austria in Paris.
