Argentinean military and political man. Initiated the military specialty arriving at lieutenant in Spain, take a part in Spain-France war. He returned in 1812 with San Martín to Buenos Aires to add itself to the fight by Independence. President of the Constituent Assembly of 1813, in 1814 returned to the army, to the front of which it conquered Montevideo. As a result of this victory brigadier was named general. He represented in 1824 the country in the U.S.A.
