Balcarce Antonio González
(1774-1819)

Military man and Argentine independentista leader. He take part in the War with the first English invasion. In 1807 was taken prisoner of the English and was sent to England. During the war of Spanish Independence, it fought against the French in Spain. When returning to his mother country, it took part like second commander in the campaign to the Peru. In 1814, governor was chosen intendant of the province of Buenos Aires. Later, he entered the Army of the Sandes in his liberating campaigns.
