Vorobkevich (Воробкевич) Sidor Ivanovich
(1836—1903)

Sidor Vorobkevich was the Ukrainian writer and the composer. He wrote about the historical past of Ukrainian people, and created about 100 melodies on own texts, music on verses of T.G.Shevchenko. Many of his songs became national ones. S.Vorobkevich has created the first textbook of singing for national schools.
